The critics

 Sasha Kant

After being unwittingly recruited as the unpaid marketing assistant to the sprawling Saatchi empire, the pouting hackette fell momentarily from grace in the late 'eighties, losing the respect of her peers for her unashamed promotion of the advertising guru's inchoate collection of sub-standard Brit-art.

She has bounced back, however, after giving birth to Marcel, the love-child of Tate supremo Sir Nickerless Gurrls. Unlike the eponymous Enlightenment philosopher to whom she is said to be distantly related, Kant is no rocket scientist, having emerged from Salisbury School for Girls with nothing but an O Level in Croatian, her mother's native tongue.

She is nevertheless widely respected for having fashioned a career as an omnipresent talking head on obscure late night TV discussions where, to her disgust, she has become known as the 'brain in a bra'. She lives with baby Marcel in a converted public convenience in Hoxton, apparently in ironic hommage to a seminal early work by her son's namesake.
